Squeeze pages are nothing more than a page that captures information from people. Well…that is a little bit of what a squeeze page does. Most marketers use this as a tool that helps them build an opt-in list.
A squeeze page does capture people’s information, however it’s so we can legally give the prospects our offers that we send out.
Most people are very reluctant in putting their names on a squeeze page due to all the scammers out on the web. As a marketer gets his or her name known for great content, people start to fill the squeeze pages out very willingly.

As a hint when putting together a Squeeze page, make sure to use bullet points to get to the facts. People want to know NOW what it is you offer. Always use Take Action sentences to get them to fill in the form as well.
When marketers use a squeeze page to get people to opt-in, they need to make sure what they are giving away is of great quality to the people doing so. Many times marketers use something they know nothing about as bait, or use something that has nothing to do with what it is they want you to opt-in to. Just remember, this is sometimes the first time anyone may have heard of you and you want to have a good First Impression to keep them coming back.
When people opt-in and receive a nice report or e-book that helps them out with their questions, more than likely you will have a dedicated person for your list.
Having a big list isn’t always great. Having a responsive list that buys is what we all want. When it comes to making money this is the best position to be in. Just remember to get there; you need to make sure to deliver what it is the people opted in for and that you have a solution for their problems.

Squeeze pages are the bread and butter of any marketers business.
Making sure that you are matching your message through your gift or ethical bribe is the key to having be it’s most profitable.

Even more important than facts on the bullets is benefits. Your offer may tell them how to do something, that’s a fact. What you want to do with your bullet is let them know what benefit they will get from by knowing that something. For example if you your freebie will tell them about which foods are low glycemic, your bullet may say … help you pick food which will help you loose pounds without starving yourself. The second bullet will appeal a lot more than the fact that you have a list of foods with a low GI.

For anyone really wanting to grow a list getting that squeeze page set up is oh so important. And adding that ethical bribe as Mike mentioned can make a big difference as well. People are not as willing to give up that email address anymore as you noted.

Good info LJ…like Earl and Doug have said, you need to aggravate their problems but then show them how your gift is going to solve that problem so it’s a no brainer to opt in.
Keep up the good work!
