Very powerful advice, LJ - I hope your message gets through to the people who will benefit most from it! Ignoring the level others are at and simply trying to do a touch better each day than the day before is a solid plan for success - as the old saying goes, even the longest journey begins with but a single step.

Great post LJ. I like your last point the best, about competing with ourselves, as I often find that very useful for myself. I like to set smaller daily or weekly goals to hit, maybe to finish a product by such a date or get a number of certain tasks done.

Very good point. I think it was Henry Ford who said whether you think you can or think you can't your right.

You really do decide before hand whether or not you can accomplish something.

Procrastination comes from many sources. An overwhelming task for example. Ie writing a book. But by breaking it down into pieces it becomes more manageable. Then the critical element, getting started. Piece by piece, to get the mini successes that lead to the major one.

You said it right when you said that it feels great to get something done. At the end of the day when you look back, what did you accomplish that day?

The biggest problem I have with blogging is staying consistant. You hit the nail on the head when you mentioned that we should have a set schedule and stick to it. I'm going to have to apply that in my blogging

I try to always carry a note pad or in the car a tape recorder because you never know when ideas will come up.

If I don't save em I lose them quickly but then I am old and bald.

You're right, social networking sites can be a great way to drive more business to your site.

I like your comment about customizing your profile page. I see a lot of people who don't do this, and to me I wonder why they haven't, because it can boost your results a lot.

It's amazing how long you can benefit from articles. Be aware of that fact when you put links in your article profile!
